Interprofessional Education is an educational philosophy in which students of related professions work together to increase mutual understanding and optimize the unique strengths, knowledge, and approaches of each profession in the delivery of health care.

The goal of IPE is for students to learn to function in an interprofessional team, and improve patient outcomes through interprofessional collaboration in their future practices.

Furthermore, as students advanced in their years of study, their readiness for interprofessional learning increased.
